Gibson Technology Partners LLC ("GTP," "I," "me") is a Washington State, USA limited liability company. You can reach me at contact@gibsontechnologypartners.com. For visitors covered by the EU or UK GDPR, Gibson Technology Partners LLC is the data controller for this website.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website, gibsontechnologypartners.com. It does not cover consulting engagements (those are governed by their own written agreements) or third-party sites this site links to.
Information I collect
Analytics. This site uses a self-hosted instance of GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It counts page views using anonymized data: the page visited, the referring site, browser type, screen size, and country-level location. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. Because the instance is self-hosted, no analytics data is shared with a third-party analytics company.
Server logs. The server hosting this site keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser user agent, requested page, and timestamp. I use these only for security monitoring and troubleshooting.
Email. If you email me, I receive what you send: your email address and the contents of your message. That is the only way this site collects information you type. There are no accounts, no contact forms, and no payment processing here.
How I use it
- Operating, securing, and improving the site (analytics and server logs)
- Responding to your inquiries and doing business with you (email)
I do not use your information for advertising. I do not sell it, rent it, or share it for marketing.
Legal bases (EU/UK visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, I rely on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) for analytics and server logs, and on your consent and steps taken toward a contract (Article 6(1)(a)–(b)) when you email me about services.
Retention
Analytics data is aggregate, non-identifying page-view statistics and is retained to track site trends over time. Server logs rotate on a short, rolling schedule set by the hosting provider. Email correspondence is kept as long as reasonably needed for business records.
Sharing
I do not sell personal information. The only third parties that handle any of the data above are infrastructure providers — web hosting and email service — acting on my instructions.
Your rights — EU and UK
If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email me.
Your rights — California
This site does not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and it collects only the limited categories described above (identifiers and internet activity). California residents may request access to or deletion of their information by emailing me.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Children's privacy
This is a business-to-business consulting site. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
