I want this site to be usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse. The target standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
What the site does today
- Semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading structure on every page
- Labeled navigation, with the current page marked for assistive technology
- Keyboard-operable navigation, including the mobile menu
- Color contrast chosen to meet AA ratios throughout the design system
- Meaningful images carry alt text; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers
- A responsive layout that supports zoom and small screens without horizontal scrolling
Known limitations
This is a small site maintained by one person. I review new pages and posts as they're published, but something can slip through — particularly in older blog content. When I find an issue, I fix it.
